Renewal Reflections
Today we are called to know the Father, to come close to the living God through our faith. We are invited to ask our Father to come to us in our need. We are reminded that a prayer asked in faith, through His Son will be heard. What is your deepest prayer? Today, create a prayer box. Gather as a family and invite each family member to write their deepest prayer to God and place it in the prayer box.…
Renewal Reflections
Today we are reminded that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. That we cannot come to the Father except through Him. What is the Way? Each of us is on own personal journey. We might encounter roadblocks or switchbacks or detours. Today is the day to look past those and see only the true Way – Jesus. What is the Truth? He is risen! Alleluia! He lives within me and desires only to bring me home at…
Renewal Reflections
Today, we are called to welcome God into our lives. It’s as simple as you think, and as difficult as you think. Are you prepared to open your heart to God and let Him be in charge? Today, perhaps put aside what you consider to be important and ask God to be your guide for the day. Perhaps He will lead you to be a person of welcoming, to be a person of outreach to those who seek Him. Spend…
Renewal Reflections
Today we are called out of darkness; to use light and truth as our guide to find the dwelling place of God. All we have to do is believe in Jesus. It seems we are all living in some kind of dark place right now. We are missing our families, friends, our once-lived freer lifestyle, our church community and the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Tonight, before your family goes to bed, light one candle for each family…
Renewal Reflections
Today we are called to witness through the works we do. It is a good day to reflect on the Corporal Works of Mercy. Do you really love me? Feed my lambs and feed my sheep. To feed the hungry – give a little extra to the St. Vincent de Paul Society To give drink to the thirsty – donate a water well through a charity such as Chalice, a Catholic organization dedicated to reaching the poor and those in…
Renewal Reflections
Today we are called to believe that we are children of God. Who are we to stand in His way? Today is a good day to review the 10 commandments: I am the Lord your God. You shall not have strange gods before Me You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain Remember to keep holy the Lord’s day Honour your father and mother You shall not kill You shall not commit adultery You shall…
Renewal Reflections
Today we are reminded of the true gate keeper. While on a recent vacation, I was able to witness a sheep dog herding the sheep into their pen. The dog listened to the calls and whistles of his keeper and even had to go away from the herd to redirect a lost sheep. We were told that the dog only listens to the one voice of his master. It was remarkable to witness. He was distant, far from his keeper…
Renewal Reflections
Today we are invited to be encouraged by the Holy Spirit, stand up and be at peace. Today is a good day to be active in prayer and have a peaceful family day. We are invited to pray unceasingly. This morning perhaps relax in the presence of family and have a special family breakfast and pray “Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them in the fire of your love.” This afternoon take time as…

Letter from Bishop Bittman – Coronavirus (COVID19)
Peace and isolated greetings from Bishop’s office! I hope this finds you well. Bishop Bittman remains well informed on the COVID-19 situation in our province and follows the recommendations of Provincial Heath Minister Adrian Dix and Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry. We will update again as that date draws nearer. The Family…
