The Holy Trinity: Our Faith, Our Life

My beloved sisters & brothers, Have a blessed Trinity Sunday! The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity invites us to contemplate the deepest mystery of our faith: one God in three Divine Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Although the word “Trinity” does not appear in Sacred Scripture, the reality of the Triune God is revealed throughout salvation history and fully made known in Jesus Christ. Every time we make the Sign of the Cross, pray the “Glory Be,”…

Renewed by the Spirit

My dear sisters & brothers, Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ! As we celebrate Pentecost Sunday, the “Birthday of the Church,” we give thanks to God for the gift of the Holy Spirit poured out upon the Apostles and upon each one of us. Pentecost marks the conclusion of the Easter season, yet it is also the beginning of the Church’s mission to proclaim the Good News to all nations. In the Acts of the Apostles we hear of Philip bringing the Gospel to Samaria, where many experienced healing, conversion, and “great joy.” The Apostles, Peter and John, then lay hands upon the newly baptized so they may receive the Holy Spirit.…

Hearts at Peace

My dear beloved sisters and brothers, Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ! This week I am in Cranbrook, BC for the CWL Diocesan Convention. I humbly ask for your prayers—for all the women of our diocese, that they may grow ever closer to Jesus and continue to serve Him faithfully in His people. Your prayers strengthen not only their mission, but the whole Church. Our Gospel (John 14: 1-12) this Sunday speaks gently but powerfully into the realities of our…
