My dear brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ,
Praise to you Lord Jesus!
What are you busy with? Are you busy with things that are not important?
Our readings this weekend remind us of an important truth of our Christian faith – the return of Jesus in glory to gather and to share in His everlasting glory. The Word of God assures us that, perfect justice will be done.
- The virtuous will rise to be with Jesus in eternal happiness;
- The wicked will rise to bear the consequence of their rejection of God’s call to conversion.
Where we came from is given and something that we cannot change. Where we are going is our responsibility. Our faith teaches us that we came from God and to God we are to return. Is that your life’s spiritual trajectory right now?
Such a message gives hope to all those who may not be getting their due in this life. It is also an appeal to those who are living in sin to go back to the Lord as soon as possible, for no one knows when the end will come.
Let us pray for the conversion of all and hopefully desire to do good until Jesus comes again and persevere in this effort. AMEN.
