Dear brothers and sisters,
1. Today every parish must raise up disciples of Jesus for the mission of His Church. There will be no priests, deacons or catechists until we are first of all have disciples of Jesus.
2. At every Mass, Jesus wants to instruct us with the Holy Scriptures and fill us with “every grace and spiritual blessing” at Holy Communion – for our daily lives in the world.
3. Where does Jesus want to send his disciples? Among shop keepers, in the trades, medical professions, among teachers, construction workers, in retirement communities, farming communities, among migrants, in schools, etc.
4. We must ask ourselves: “am I willing to be a disciple of Jesus, starting today with the desire to put his love in the world.” One woman said: “the situation in my family, things inside myself, had led me to conclude that you couldn’t really love on earth. Then I met some people who were disciples and a great love for Christ was awakened in me.” 53 years later…………..
5. At the end of every Mass we hear these or similar words: “Go now and glorify God with your lives.”
