During this pandemic, when we are not praying, we’ve been busy doing works of love. Our parishes have sent about 80 bicycles to the children in Nigeria. Some were given to individual families, some to the orphanage, some to block Rosary children and some to parishes.
The children are so happy. Some haven’t ridden bicycles before. What a joy for them and their families. In some of the videos, you could hear them praying for our parishes for being a blessing to them.

- Lorne Raymond: for going to pickup the bikes with me in his truck. How many times have I woken him up at 6am. I don’t know how much longer Maria is going to put up with us.
- Sylvia McGraw and Nancy Brennan for helping to unload the bikes and ensuring that they get to Nigeria.
- Ray and Terry Weicker and their son Michael for allowing us to use their house to assemble the bikes and for driving the bikes in their truck to Surrey. After the pandemic, we have lots of neat stories to share.
- Harry Niehe for creating the siding for the flatbed that was used to transport the bikes and for driving with me and Ray to Surrey to ship the bikes.
- Lorne Raymond, Tony Cristini, Garry Daigle, Harry Niehe and Tim Gahagan for loading all of the bikes and doing the heavy work.
