In our ongoing efforts to to reduce the number of Masses being said, move towards eliminating Masses running concurrently and allow for the possibility that only one priest will be available to celebrate Mass on a given weekend, we are making a couple of more Mass time changes – this time at St. John Vianney.
We thank each of you for your understanding as we move to a more sustainable Mass schedule for our fall and winter seasons.
The changes are as follows:
- The 11:00am Mass is being moved to 8:00am
- The 9:00am Mass will begin a half hour later at 9:30am
- The live streamed Sunday Mass will now be at 9:30am every week
Having Masses run concurrently at St. John Vianney and St. Ann’s requires 2 priests. Although we are usually blessed to have Father Harry assisting Father Obi, it is becoming more common for Father Harry to be travelling. This necessitates a change to our schedule that removes all concurrent Masses. We recently removed the 9:00am Mass at St. Ann’s and now we are moving the 11:00am Mass to 8:00am at St. John Vianney. After this change has been implemented, we will no longer have concurrent running Masses.
In order to allow enough time to complete the 8:00am Mass and then clean the church, it was also necessary to bump the 9:00am Mass to 9:30am.
These changes will take place beginning October 18th.
