Also designated as World Day for Consecrated Life
February 2nd is a special day. It is the 40th Day after Christmas. On this day, Jesus is presented in the Temple, and the Church also celebrates World Day for Consecrated Life. Traditionally, we have the blessing of candles and procession to mark this day. So, come with your candle for blessing!
- In St. John Vianney, blessing of candles will be in the hall.
- In St. Ann, blessing of candles will be in the foyer at all the weekend Masses.
The liturgy book instructs that incense be used today. So, except for 6pm Mass, incense will be used in all the other Masses. If you are allergic to incense, we are thinking of you hence we won’t be using incense at the 6pm Mass on Sunday. Hope you can attend that Mass.
Except for the 6pm Sunday Mass, all Sunday Masses on February 1st & 2nd will begin 10 minutes before the usual time.
