My dear sisters & brothers,
Praise & Worship God for His Great Love for us!
In our first reading this weekend, David was planning to give a present to God. He thought of building a House for the Lord and moving the Ark of the Covenant from a humble tent but God had other plans.
God wanted to be present to His own people, house or no house, temple or no temple. This is the story of a God who wills to be present to His people – a God who is present, a God who values presence more than presents. He gives us the most special gift of intimacy with His people.
So, this last week of Advent, I invite you to open yourself to God’s presence – that means accepting God for who He is, and coming to God’s presence as we are. Have a blessed & Happy Sunday! God Loves you!
Wishing you a Merry Christmas!
~ Fr. Neil
