Easter Message and Schedule

Easter Message and Schedule

My dear brothers and sisters,

Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ!

I would like to thank you for your great faith and commitment to our Lord Jesus especially during this Lenten Season going through to our Easter celebration. Our Lenten observance is almost over and I hope that your journey this Lent with prayer, fasting and almsgiving, helped you to focus on God who is so merciful and compassionate, which will lead us to forgive and be forgiven. As Pope Francis said, “In life we all make many mistakes. Let us learn to recognize our errors and ask for forgiveness.” Indeed draw us closer to our God.

May the Easter celebration be a prayerful recollection of the Paschal Mystery of Jesus Christ our Lord; His suffering, His death and His glorious resurrection. May our Lenten observances make us ready to be with the Lord, and through the many ‘darknesses’ of our lives. Even when we lose hope, and we continue to walk with Jesus, deeply believing that with Him, we will see light and life. Our resurrection is possible because of Jesus.

Thus, Easter is the most wonderful celebration in our Church’s life of prayer and worship. In this feast, we are again at the heart of God’s loving presence. Easter is the Lord’s promise of eternal life and happiness.

Let us be confident that the Risen Lord Jesus Christ is with us and fills us with joy, hope and courage to face anything that may come. God loves you! Happy Easter everyone!

In Christ Jesus,

Rev. Fr. Neil Lustado
