Commissioning of All in Ministry at Mass

Commissioning of All in Ministry at Mass

With heart filled with gratitude, we will commission all who are involved in ministry during Mass. Please endeavor to attend. These are the ministries: Hospitality ministers (Greeters, Ushers), Alter servers, Musicians, Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Sacristans, Altar linen Angels, Interior Decorators (Children’s Liturgy has been commissioned already).

We are grateful for the many ways by which our parishioners like the wise men offer to Jesus their best gifts: the gifts of our time, treasure and talent.

After last week’s homily, some parishioners felt inspired and have come forward expressing their desire to join in ministry and to offer to God a percentage of the treasure God has given them. All for God’s glory and His work and purposes.

Where is God calling you to serve? How does he want you to do so? Please feel free to chat with me or any spiritual friend to discern where God’s purposes for you.

Remember our acronym: S. E. A. R. C. H

S: See (how God is speaking to you through various ways)
E: Enter (into the mystery of God’s life and your life)
A: Act
R: Renewal
C: Cast (your gift at the feet of Jesus)
H: Happiness

This weekend, Deacon Peter is preaching and will continue with our homily series theme; The Search. He will share with us his own search in life: that moment (that event, that encounter) that changed everything. For to be a Christian is not the result of an ethical choice or a lofty idea, but an encounter with an event, with a person which gives life a new horizon and a decisive direction.

Next week, I’ll share my impression and the lessons I learned from the funeral of Pope Benedict. Melinda and Carla didn’t give me enough space for Pastor’s Message. What can I do? I can only be grateful for the space I got 😊

Have a blessed weekend. Happy Sunday.
