There will be Prayers & Blessings of the graves at approximately 10:00am at the Penticton Cemetery on Saturday, November 1st after the 9am Mass at St. John Vianney. Due to Sunday Masses and other commitments, we cannot do the blessings on All Souls Day (November 2nd).
November 2nd is All Souls Day. This day is of special significance to us Christians, where we remember our loved ones, friends & relatives who have left our earthly company. Throughout the month of November, the Church encourages us to offer as many Masses as we can for the purification of the souls departed. Christian charity demands that we be generous with our prayers for the souls departed. Write the names of family members, relatives or friends in the Book of Remembrance. We will be mentioning their names at Masses on the weekdays and Sundays starting on November 1st. If you want it on a specific date in November, you may indicate a date in the book & we will do our best to accommodate your requested date when we can.
