Ukrainian Fundraiser – A Beautiful Evening of Community & Solidarity

Ukrainian Fundraiser – A Beautiful Evening of Community & Solidarity

Our warm and friendly greeters.

Indeed it was a beautiful evening of community and solidarity. We thank you for your generous hearts and fervent prayers as we gathered as one family, sharing a meal and praying in one voice the beautifully moving Way of the Cross.

Wonderful to gather as community again.

Many thanks to the countless number of volunteers that made the evening so beautiful. “It takes a village” to create community, and your support for Ukraine shone brightly.

In addition to the substantial monetary donations collected (over $8,800), people also brought blankets, bandages and other things that will help children and families to feel the warmth and love of home and family. Fr. Pavlo will send everything directly to Ukraine.

God bless you and thank you for your support and prayers.

We had a number of people ask for the recipes for the soup or cookies, so we decided to publish them for you.

The Pope’s Prayer for Peace in the Ukraine

God of peace and justice, we pray for the people of Ukraine today. We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons. We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow, that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them. We +pray for those with power over war or peace, for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions. Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear, that you would hold and protect them. We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Amen
