Today, I am called to be subject to my elders, put on a garment of humility, bow before my God and increase in faith and knowledge.
Perhaps today is a good day to gather the family and look through some family pictures together. Moments of joy that were captured forever, moments of sadness that were captured forever. For those of us whose parents or family members now sit at the foot of Jesus, perhaps offer a prayer of thanksgiving for the faith, wisdom and knowledge that they shared with you. Kids – hug your parents today and simply say “I love you today and everyday!” Parents, hug your kids today and simply say “I love you today and everyday!” For those of us separated from our loved ones, today is a good day to call them and simply say “I love you today and everyday!” At the end of the day today, take your crucifix into your hands and simply say “Jesus, I love you today and everyday!”
