Coming to the Okanagan for the first time ever, St. Ann’s Parish in Penticton, B.C., Canada will be hosting the Man of the Shroud Exhibition from April 4th- April 7th, 2024 which is an Exhibition regarding the Shroud of Turin. The Shroud of Turin is the most researched and studied historical artifact in the world and this Exhibition is an in-depth examination of its historical and scientific aspects.
We are extremely fortunate to have Father Andrew Dalton, LC, a renowned scholar of the Shroud of Turin, attending as our lecturer. Fr. Dalton is a Catholic priest of the Legionaries of Christ and professor of theology at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome. He teaches the Synoptic Gospels and Biblical Greek and Hebrew. Fr. Dalton obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Shroud Studies in 2011, and became a board member of Othonia, an international center of investigation on the Shroud, in 2017. In 2018, he worked with Shroud experts all over the world to bring university level studies to the English-speaking world.
He teaches the Biblical Theology of the Passion of the Christ for the Science and Faith Institute, which works in collaboration with the International Centre of Shroud Studies in Turin and the Giulio Ricci Diocesan Centre of Shroud Studies in Rome. He has lectured on the Shroud of Turin and the sufferings of Christ all over the world, including China, Singapore, and the Philippines and has appeared on television in America and Italy.
