Called by God

My dear friends,

Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ!

Every time I receive a call early in the morning to do an anointing, I always consider this as a reminder of my vocation – called by God to do service. Whatever I do, wherever I am, I usually drop everything and immediately respond to this call, for very second counts on the person receiving the sacrament. And I usually sees this moment as an opportunity to encounter God and through this rite, I believe that you are at the gate of heaven, especially for the person receiving it. I personally ask you to pray for all our parishioners who are sick at this time and please do not hesitate to call the office or me for anointing.

This weekend, we celebrate 5th Sunday in Ordinary time and in our Gospel (Luke 5: 1-11), Jesus did a miraculous catch of fish, which reminds us as His disciples to continue His mission of saving people from the forces of evil. Jesus challenges us to; “Put out into the deep (Duc In Altum, Latin Word) water and let down your nets for a catch.” It means that as a follower of Jesus, we are called by God to a deeper reality of our life – we are called by God to let down a different net, to be a faithful missionary of service, and to make a difference in the world, for the greater glory of God.

I hope that when you pray you can use these words from prophet Isaiah:

Here am I (Lord) Send me!

Isaiah 6:8

Amen.

Have a Blessed week! God Loves You!
