This is a copy of a letter mailed to all parishioners around April 24, 2020 My Dear Sisters and Brothers, Happy Easter! I was so looking forward to celebrating my first Easter with you. I guess I’ll have to wait for another year. I miss you all and have wondered how you are doing. I do hope you are keeping well and safe. Fr. Harry and I have been trying to keep well even as we continue to visit our…

Sisters and Brothers, Happy Wednesday everyone! I felt so blessed on Easter Sunday when many of you came out to see the Risen Lord and received blessings in person. Your thirst for Him is inspiring. Ordination, Gratitude, & Parish Mission
My dear Sisters and Brothers, Episcopal Ordination: On December 12, history will be made in our Diocese. Our own Fr. Bart Van Roijen will be ordained the Bishop of Corner Brook and Labrador. Fr. The Parish As A Family – Our Special Celebrations
My vision of our parish is that of a family. Every parish is a family where God is our Father and Mary our Mother. We are brothers and sisters. And we have some of our brothers and sisters already in heaven – the saints – who cheer us on in our life’s journey. In every family, we celebrate our special days – birthdays, anniversaries, graduations etc. Next week – September 8 – is the birthday of our Blessed Mother. Wouldn’t…
My Journey to the Priesthood
People have asked me to share my journey to the Priesthood; what brought me to Canada. There was nothing extraordinary. It was simply the grace of God leading a 17 year old to discover God’s purposes. Thank you for praying for vocation in our diocese and in the world. I had just finished high school. I was seventeen. The world had opened up to me with all its beauty, charm, and possibilities. I had to consider what I would do…
I See Hearts that are Open and Loving
I see a fertile land in our parishes. I see hearts that are open, loving, caring. I see people who deeply love Jesus and want to advance His Kingdom. I have received tremendous support since I arrived here. It makes me happy. It makes me smile. I do pray for you and I know you pray for me, too. Thank you. Hopefully, soon, my boxes will be completely unpacked. I’m not there yet 🙂 On Wednesday, July 24, we had…
